Spike Milligan – What’s in the newspaper that’s so interesting? – Quote

What’s in the newspaper that’s so interesting? when there’s a real live fairy, next to you

Spike Milligan

Back in 1970-or-80-something, Spike Milligan was talking about spending time with his kids.
He says, his kids would ask something… “When I’m busy and I would say ‘I’m sorry I’m reading the newspapers'”, he then asks himself, “What’s in the newspaper that’s so interesting? when there’s a real live fairy, next to you”.
fast forward to today, and swap newspaper for phone/iPad/Facebook etc.
Spike was a wise man.
